SLGC Open; 1st Bars, 2nd Vault, 2nd AA 36.475
This is a huge accomplishment! It has been two years since Jordan has won the Uneven Parallel Bars and she finally did it again. With a picture perfect routine (according to Mom and Dad) Jordan swung to a 9.35 for 1st in the 11 year old division. She also boomed a 9.4 on vault for 2nd.
2007 Golf Season
Jordan swing has really come along since last season. After a club change mid season, she really started crushing the ball. But, most of her improvement in scoring came in her chipping and putting. In her second full season in the Gateway Jr PGA, Jordan finished as the 10-11 yr old girls division champion for the season in the 9 hole division. In 6 tournaments, she claimed 3 wins, 2 seconds and 1 third place finish. In the Final Championship, she finished 3rd and was the putting champion. Jordan is looking forward to next season and some "pay-backs" for her beloved competitors.
2006-2007 Gymnastics Season
The highlight of the Level 6 season came in the Team Cup for Jordan this season. In her second consecutive year competing as the floor representative for her level she posted a 9.475 after a loaded SLGC floor squad put up very high marks in the previous rotation. Jordan stuck everything! During the season, her scoring consistently improved with her best AA finish being 3rd. At the State meet Jordan finished 3rd on bars. She is really looking forward to competing bars in the 2007-2008 season. Here's some photos from the Level 6 season...
2005-2006 Gymnastics Season
Well, she made it to Level 5. Before the season started, Jordan was a demonstrator for 3 days for a Level 4 & 5 USAG floor routine clinic which was held at Team Central. This really helped Jordan with her confidence on floor in the early season. Bars are becoming a stronger event for Jordan this year. She is now doing what she calls a "kifront-hip-circle" (connecting a kip to front hip circle "so fast that you can't hear the P", according to Jordan). Jordan couldn't wait to defend her title in the Classic! She talked about it for a year. This is definitely her favorite meet. Before this meet she said, "I always do good at the Classic". Well, an emerging Sophie Tomaso, took first by 4/10ths of a point. Jordan was disappointed, to say the least. But, she shouldn't have been because she wowwed the crowd with the last of Team Central's floor routines, putting up a 1st Place 9.525! Teammate Morgan Porter put a 36.8 to take 1st in the 8 year old division. And, Kiara Adderley broke through for her first AA victory in the 12 & up division. After a good start to the 2004-2005 meet season, Jordan finished with a bang! A 1st place All-Around at both the St. Louis Classic and the Compulsory Cup, a 1st place Floor win and a 2nd place All-Around at the State Meet, all helped to propel Jordan through the summer with hard work and determination to get ready for the tough Level 5 season which lay ahead.
